Wilder, continued.

This project was an exercise in refining space, opening key sightlines, improving flow, and letting natural light do more of the work.

We focused on simplifying the material palette and creating consistency across transitions, so each space feels connected without losing its own function. Subtle shifts in scale, texture, and proportion help define how the home is used day to day.

The result is a home that feels more intentional, more usable, and more aligned with how the clients want to live.

Design that works hard, without feeling overworked.

Introducing: Wilder ✨

Wilder explores how thoughtful architectural design can elevate everyday living. By combining generous gathering spaces, warm natural materials, and carefully considered detailing, the kitchen becomes a place that supports both the practical rhythms of family life and the joy of bringing people together.

At HubbHouse, each project is an opportunity to shape how people experience their homes: creating spaces that feel welcoming, personal, and deeply connected to daily life.

We’ll be sharing more from Wilder in the coming weeks.

At Morewood, the kitchen island was conceived less as cabinetry, more as a piece of furniture.

Rendered in blackened oak with generous overhangs, it offers ample seating while remaining visually grounded in the space. A hard maple top adds tactile warmth and contrast; durable, honest, and intended to age beautifully with use.

Open shelving brings everyday pieces into view, celebrating the lived-in beauty of the kitchen’s daily rhythm.

At Morewood, the quiet power of restraint is at play. Clean lines, natural materials, and thoughtful contrast shape a space that feels both grounded and elevated.
Vaulted ceilings with exposed collar ties draw the eye upward. Skylights and horizontal windows invite light in from above and around, framing the trees, the lake, the changing sky.

Blackened oak. Hard maple. Super White dolomite. Unlacquered brass. Each material chosen for integrity, beauty, and the way it will age.

A kitchen shaped by architecture. Refined by craft. Designed for living.

Design begins with vision.

For this young family, that meant transforming a closed-in kitchen into the heart of their home — a space with volume, light, and flow. We designed a soaring ceiling with exposed collar ties, a floating wood panel to add spatial definition, and an eleven-foot island made for both everyday meals and parties that last long into the night.

Currently under construction — will bring it to life — but the vision begins here. We can’t wait to see this one come to fruition this fall!

Collaboration is at the heart of what we do—whether it’s reimagining a home’s potential or guiding clients through the transformation process. At HubbHouse, we believe great design starts with vision, and in real estate, that vision begins with seeing the possibilities.

Thank you, Cville Abode, for featuring the Rugby Project and sharing what and bring to the table. And an even bigger thank you to our incredible clients for trusting us to bring your dream home to life—and for sharing your journey with the community.

We love a good before and after. The original kitchen at our Rugby project, added a few decades ago, had low ceilings, a tiny window overlooking the expansive back yard, and dated...everything. We took advantage of attic space to vault the ceiling and expose the structure, expanded the window to take in the incredible view, and implemented a clean, modern material palette accented with natural tones and textures. Flush overlay cabinet doors hide sophisticated internal organization and the absence of hardware keeps this kitchen crisp and minimal. In another fun collaboration, helped our clients find and purchase this Rugby Hills gem prior to our renovation.Architecture:
