Last year, the Commission and the City of Ellinwood made things happen. In the first year of a collaborative FIG partnership with our Cities, we moved quickly to approve a grant for the construction of the 10-39 Café Pavilion hoping it would be complete in time for the After Harvest Festival. They were close – but this year, they are locked in!

When asked what the FIG funding meant to 10-39, Brittney Bailey, co-owner said, “We are incredibly grateful to have received the Façade Improvement Grant for the construction of the 10-39 Café Pavilion. This grant has allowed us to expand our business by creating additional seating for both 10-39 Café and 10-39 Treats, while also providing a welcoming space for the community. The pavilion has become home to Market Monday, a free weekly community market where local vendors can sell fresh produce, baked goods, plants, handmade items, and more. What started as a simple idea has continued to grow each week thanks to the overwhelming support of both vendors and the community. Beyond Market Monday, the pavilion has also become a gathering place for graduation parties, birthday celebrations, and other community events. We are proud to offer the pavilion free of charge for groups willing to share the space with the public, or it can be reserved for private events for a small rental fee. We would like to extend our sincere thanks to Barton County and the City of Ellinwood for investing in our business and our community. Your support has helped create a space that brings people together and continues to make a positive impact on Ellinwood.”
