"I'll deal with that tree in the spring."

That's usually how a weak limb turns into a hole in the roof. Winter wind and a heavy snow load find the cracked, crowded, and dead branches first β€” and an emergency removal always runs more than planned work does.

Got one you've been putting off? Message us this week and we'll come out and take a look before the cold really settles in. 🌲

Myth: Wait until spring to deal with a problem tree.

Reality: Late fall is one of the best times to handle it. The leaves are down, so we can actually see the whole structure β€” cracks, weak joints, deadwood that hid under a full canopy all summer. The tree's dormant, so pruning is easier on it. And firmer ground means equipment is gentler on your lawn.

Waiting until spring just gives a bad limb all winter to come down on its own.

Fresh week, good time to start β€” DM us to get on this week's schedule. 🌳

Ever look up at the tree over your roof and wonder if it'll hold through winter?

That's worth a real answer before the snow starts loading those branches down.

We'll come out, check the crown and any limbs hanging over the house, and tell you straight what needs to come down.

Reply and we'll line it up for the week ahead. 🌲

Quick one before the week kicks off: what's the one tree on your property you keep telling yourself you'll finally deal with?

Maybe it drops limbs every time the wind picks up, or it's crept a little closer to the house each year. November is the sweet spot to handle it β€” before the ground freezes and winter turns a simple removal into a harder, pricier job.

Drop a 🌳 in the comments if you've got one in mind. Or DM us and we'll get you on this week's schedule.

3 signs a tree should come down before the snow flies:

- A crack or split running down the trunk
- Heavy limbs hanging over the roof or the power lines
- Dead sections up top that never leafed out this year

Spot any of these around your place? We've still got room on the schedule this weekend β€” message us and we'll come out and take a look. 🌳

Be honest β€” how long has that dead or leaning tree been sitting on your "I'll deal with it later" list? 🌳

Fall is the smart window to take one down: the ground's firm, the leaves are mostly gone, and it's a lot cheaper than an emergency call after the first heavy snow loads those branches up.

We've still got a few openings this weekend. Tell us in the comments β€” is it one problem tree, or has the whole backyard gotten ahead of you?

Got a call this week β€” a big oak limb had cracked in the last windstorm and was hanging right over the back corner of a family's roof.

We got out there, brought the limb down clean, and hauled every bit of the mess out of the yard.

Wind only gets worse heading into winter, and a hanging limb doesn't fix itself. If there's one up there you keep eyeing, we've still got a couple weekend spots open β€” message us and we'll come out and take a look. 🌳

Quick tip before winter sets in: skip the "mulch volcano." Piling mulch or leaves up against a tree trunk traps moisture on the bark, invites rot, and gives mice a cozy spot to chew the base all season. Pull it back a few inches so you can see the root flare β€” think flat donut, not a cone.

It's a 10-minute fix that saves a tree you'd otherwise pay to remove.

Got bigger tree work you want handled before the snow flies? We've got weekend openings this week β€” DM us to grab one.

"I'll just deal with that tree in the spring."

That one sentence costs more homeowners money than almost anything else this time of year. A cracked or overhanging limb doesn't wait for warm weather β€” it waits for the first heavy, wet snow, and then it's a roof claim instead of a routine removal.

Late fall is actually the easiest time to take a tree down: no leaves, frozen ground, way less mess in your yard.

Planning any weekend projects? Reply now and we'll get you on the schedule before the snow makes the call for you. 🌲

Here's a rule we live by: if you're reaching for the top rung of the ladder to get at a branch, it's already past being a DIY job.

Limbs over a roof, anything near a power line, or a cut that can swing back at you β€” that's where a Saturday project turns into an ER visit real fast. A chainsaw above your shoulders with no stable footing is one kick away from trouble.

The smart move this time of year is lining up the dead and damaged limbs before winter loads them with snow and ice. Get on the schedule now and you're set before the weather forces the issue.

Not sure if that limb is a you-job or a pro-job? Send us a photo and we'll tell you straight. 🌳
