This week we had the privilege of visiting William Blount High School and presenting instructor Douglas Blair, who leads the Building Construction program, with a mortar mixer to use in his classes.

A big thank you to Matthew Wheeler and Joe Newman for coordinating the donation, to Empower Rental Group for making the mixer available to the program, and to G & P Masonry for their continued support in strengthening masonry education.

Doug has been a strong advocate for the trades, always giving his students opportunities to learn masonry skills, compete in SkillsUSA competitions, and pursue careers in our industry. Over the years, many of his students have gone on to build futures in masonry and other trades because of his dedication.

We’re excited to see how this equipment will support Doug’s efforts in growing masonry outreach and providing even more opportunities for students!

The Beauford Delaney building is an integral part of the Knoxville Multi-Use Stadium development. The nine-story multi-use building is set to redefine urban living with its 47 luxury residential condominiums, each offering breathtaking views of home plate or the plaza. This 215,000 SF project is currently under construction and valued at $83 million.
