Chelsea Decks | Chelsea, MI & Surrounding Areas

Join our team for the 2026 season! We specialize in high-quality outdoor living spaces and are looking for a reliable, hard-working individual to help us build from March through December.

The Details
Pay: $25/hour (Weekly pay)

Status: 1099 Contractor

Hours: 20–40 hours per week (Flexible scheduling)

Perks: Paid lunch breaks; all specialized power tools and PPE provided.

Requirements
No previous construction experience is required—we are happy to train someone with the right attitude. However, you must meet the following:

Physical: Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work comfortably off ladders.

Skills: Must be able to accurately read a tape measure.

Logistics: Clean driving record and reliable transportation to job sites.

Gear: You provide your own toolbelt, tape measure, speed square, hammer, and gloves.

Location: Western Washtenaw County

Position Type: Contract 1099

Compensation: Starting at $35.00/hour (Negotiable based on experience)

About the Role
We are looking for a skilled, reliable, and detail-oriented Carpenter with strong experience in both framing and finish work to join our team immediately. If you take pride in your craft, work efficiently, and are looking for a long-term position with offering growth, we want to hear from you.

Key Responsibilities
Framing: Construct, erect, install, and repair structures and fixtures of wood.

Finish Carpentry: Install high-end trim work with precision.

Blueprint Reading: Read and interpret sketches and plans for accurate ex*****on.

Safety & Efficiency: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site while meeting project deadlines.

Qualifications & Requirements
Proven Experience: Demonstrated history of high-quality work in both framing and finish carpentry (portfolio or references required).

Tools: Must have your own hammer, square, durable tape measure and tool belt.

Clean Driving Record: A valid driver’s license and a clean driving record are required for operating company vehicles or traveling between sites.

Work Ethic: Punctual, detail-oriented, and able to work independently or as part of a crew.

Workplace Policy: This is a strict substance-free work environment.
