Client wanted us to inspect their sewer system today, upon inspection we found a couple of spots with grease starting to build up. A little jetting action and we were able to knock out the build up before it became a back up into the home.

While this is not the ultimate repair, as the cast iron is showing signs of deterioration, it will atleast buy the home owner some time before replacement or sleeving is required.

Got a call today for a leaky water heater, turns out it was just a leaky thermal expansion valve. We replaced it with a more effective way of managing thermal expansion. A thermal expansion tank is generally better than a thermal expansion valve because it actually absorbs the excess water volume and pressure created by thermal expansion, instead of just releasing it once it builds up. This prevents wasted water, reduces wear on plumbing, and keeps system pressure more stable over time. A valve only relieves pressure by dumping water, while a tank manages it by storing the excess safely.
