Preserving these skills is essential not only for maintaining cultural heritage but also for fostering practical abilities that have many benefits including mental well-being. Engaging in woodworking offers a form of mindful activity,

helping to reduce stress, improve focus, and provide a tangible sense of accomplishment. Our teaching and practice in maintaining and reviving such hands-on skills encourages self-reliance and promotes mental health by allowing individuals to disconnect from digital overwhelm and reconnect with physical creation. For Christmas I opened this gift from Rich. At first I was in awe of this beautiful box he made. Then I was wondering what could be inside. When I opened the box, I was amazed these two beautiful knives that he made. He crafted the handle AND the blade too!! I knew he could make things, but this gift blew me away. He told me he originally made it from me to use at work, but I told him that these knives were too nice for work. But now I can upgrade my everyday knife with these knives. Thanks Hubby for this amazing handcrafted thoughtful gift. I will continue to make delicious food with these knives. ❤️
