Daniel’s Irrigation is looking for a reliable and experienced Irrigation Technician to install and service our client’s irrigation equipment. As a technician, you will be responsible for digging trenches, installing equipment, testing the system, and conducting regular maintenance checks. You may also be required to install electrical timer systems, and plumb irrigation pumps.
To ensure success as an irrigation technician, you should exhibit a strong work ethic, have detailed knowledge of irrigation techniques, and be able to operate heavy machinery when required.
Irrigation Technician Responsibilities:
• Inspecting and loading equipment for the day’s work.
• Driving to the client’s location.
• Digging trenches and installing pipes and lines.
• Installing pumps and electrical timers.
• Testing the irrigation system.
• Conducting routine maintenance checks.
• Troubleshooting and replacing faulty parts.
• Completing progress reports and associated paperwork.
• Preforms miscellaneous job duties as assigned.
• May assist in various maintenance activities as assigned.
• Ensures proper care in the use and maintenance of equipment and supplies; promotes continuous improvement of workplace safety and environmental practices.
• Ensure service truck is clean and organized, properly stocked with inventory and tools
• Maintain a professional appearance
• Maintain a clean driving record
Irrigation Technician Requirements:
• Must have a valid Driver’s License & be a U.S. Citizen.
• Must submit to a background check and drug screening.
• High school diploma or GED. (Preferred)
• Proven work experience as an Irrigation Technician.
• Knowledge of irrigation and electrical timer systems.
• Ability to work outside in all weather conditions.
• Ability to stand for long periods, push or pull objects, and lift 50lbs or more.
• Good communication skills.
• Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions.
• Ability to understand and follow specific instructions and procedures.
• Ability to perform irrigation tasks such as operate timers, clocks, and controls for sprinklers.
• Knowledge of manual and/or computerized irrigation systems.
• Ability to read, understand, follow, and enforce safety procedures.
Pay will be based on experience.
