We would like to thank Chesco Services, Palmetto Realty, and all of the individual volunteers who came out yesterday afternoon and will be working in the garden this year! We hope to offer fresh vegetables, beautiful flowers, and delicious produce very soon!

We have scheduled a meeting for anyone who would like to volunteer to work in our community garden this year for this coming Tuesday, March 26, at 5 PM. Let’s meet at the garden. We will discuss raised bed plot adoption assignments, plans and expectations for the coming growing season, and anything else we can do to improve our garden. We would love to add grape vines again as well as more fruit-bearing trees and bushes. We also need a new rain collection system. This will be a brief meeting, no more than 30 minutes or so, and we really hope you can attend. Please invite anyone else who might be interested. Thank you!

Attention, Chesterfield community gardeners, friends, and followers!! The Chesterfield community garden will no longer be affiliated with the Chesterfield Family YMCA. Instead, if you are interested in participating or helping out with our community garden, please contact Bill Rivers directly on his mobile phone at 843-927-0209. We do plan to offer the community garden for everyone’s benefit again this year just as last year and we need your help! Please give Bill a call or send him a text message. We contributed peppers and zinnias to P*e Dee Land Trust’s Bountiful Brunch this past weekend. Our garden is still producing. Please come by and take advantage of the last of the summer crop. Also, gardeners, it is time to clean up your plots and consider winter planting.
