While wooded trails are a common place to encounter ticks, they're just as likely to be found in backyards, tall grass, leaf litter, gardens, and along the edges where lawns meet wooded areas. You don't have to be deep in the forest to come into contact with one!
Making tick checks part of your routine after spending time outdoors is one of the easiest ways to protect yourself, your family, and your pets. The sooner you find a tick, the lower the risk of it remaining attached long enough to transmit certain tick-borne diseases.
At ohDEER, we're committed to helping families control tick populations around their homes so they can spend less time worrying and enjoy more time outside! πΏπ€
