WEI will be hosting Fruitland Valley Vineyard for the First Thursday Art Walk March 5th

The Art of Making Wine: Fruitland Valley Vineyard
Winemaker Leah Schuldheisz brings the art of winemaking to Chewelah's First Thursday Art Walk, showcasing small-batch wines crafted just 36 miles away at her family's vineyard in Eastern Washington's Fruitland Valley. Each bottle reflects the creativity and patience of hand-tending 7,000 vines across 10 acres, carefully aging reds in oak barrels and fermenting whites in stainless steel. Leah took over as head winemaker in February 2021 when her father, founding winemaker Brian Benson, became ill, and continues to honor his legacy while adding her own creative vision. Three generations now practice the art of winemaking together on land that's been in the family for five generations, producing just 800 cases annually. Tonight, taste the artistry in every glass – from crisp Riesling and playful Rosé to structured Cabernet Franc and signature red blends. Each wine is handcrafted just 3 miles from where the grapes are grown in our remote, family-tended vineyard.
