CCI Trenchless recently finished one of the longest tunnels completed in Wyoming in the past couple of years. It was hot, but our crew flat-out moved. To recognize everyone who was part of it, we made a custom hard hat sticker commemorating the job. 👌🏻🤘🏻

This week during our staff meeting, we showed the crew all the projects we still need to knock out before the end of 2026. There was a lot on the board.

Clay told everyone, “We’ve got great crews, and I know we can get all of this done.”

Without missing a beat, a crew member spoke up:

“Well yeah we will…..because we’re the sh*t.”

Hard to argue with that mentality.🤘🏻

Hey everyone! It’s been a while since we’ve posted.

We’re currently serving as a subcontractor to Prospect Construction on a 500-foot bore beneath the Sheridan, Wyoming airport. The crew definitely didn’t expect to be auditioning for Holes 2.0 while working in 109°F heat yesterday but that’s trenchless construction for you. Hot, dusty, and getting it done. Shout out to our crew member, Jessica Davis for taking these pictures.

Since we’re a tunneling contractor, we dig into the specs pretty thoroughly…on paper, it’s always “ideal ground conditions.”
Like every job, though, we get a good laugh once we’re in the trenches and realize it’s the exact opposite. No worries—CCI gets it done, one rock (or a whole pile) at a time.

If you’re visiting CCI’s yard, you might catch three generations out there at the same time. Each at a different stage of learning and all a little bossy. So don’t be surprised if you see Fred, Clay, or Ellis “operating” equipment.
There’s a lot of history behind Coleman Construction. Coleman Construction started with Fred’s dad, Harry, and was passed down to Fred. Fred still shows up every day and puts in the work, but he’s passing the business on to Clay. And now Clay has his son Ellis out here learning at a young age. We’re keeping the tradition going into the next generation. How lucky are we?

The entire team came together to begin our largest tunnel project this year. 150’ of 7’ casing under US191 in Malta Montana to replace an aging and undersized culvert for the Montana Department of Transportation! Exciting project to take on and the entire team is ready to see the light at the other end of the tunnel!

Coleman Construction is actively updating and upgrading its trenchless technology equipment to better meet our clients requests. Coleman Construction's newest addition to its fleet of equipment is a new Barbco 48/60-950 boring machine! Our updated fleet is going to be a key component to the 5 difficult 36" crossings for the City of Laramie Wyoming' s North Tank and Pipeline Project.

Crews recently holed thru on Coleman Constructions largest and deepest tunnel project so far! At over 730' long and over 177' deep its the longest and deepest pipe jacking ever completed in the state of Montana. This 6' diameter tunnel is part of a larger highway improvement project and will be used to convey surface water under Hwy 89. Thanks to our partners at Kilduff Underground Engineering and Barbco to help make this drive a success for the Montana Department of Transportation.
