You might not realize it, but poor ventilation can cause damage to your roof, and lead to a shortened roof life. Excess moisture and heat can result in the rot of roof decking, which in turn leads to damage to the underlayment and shingles. Painting means colors, and we love colors in all shades. But, what type of paint to pick has always been a frequently asked question. So, we put together a few paint types, and when you should use them.

👉 Oil-based paints: They are best used on surfaces that are frequently used and subject to wear and tear e.g exteriors, floors, doors furniture.
👉 Water-based paints: Should be used on surfaces that are not frequently used e.g ceilings.
👉 Primer: This is important for painting but note that it is not painted, even though they both have the same consistency. Applying primer before paint will increase durability.
👉 Paint sheens: They’re used to improve the sheen of paint. Fairly flat, eggshell, and satin paints are options to consider for better durability.
👉 Enamel: Ensures superb durability and is best used in exteriors, and for indoor surfaces that are very susceptible to wear and tear, like kitchen cabinets, or furniture.

Truth: Just disinfecting is not effective enough to kill germs, cleaning first before disinfecting reduces the chances of germ spread.

Cleaning involves removing dirt, and impurities from surfaces, while disinfection involves using chemicals to kill germs on surfaces. Two of these processes should work hand in hand for effective germ control.

👉Gable roof: Has two sloping sides that meet to form a ridge, looks like a triangle.

👉Hip roof: Made of four slopes of equal length that meet to form a simple ridge.

3 signs that it's time to replace your windows💯

So, here are three signs that let you know it’s time to replace your windows.

👉Damaged windows: Usually the most obvious sign and the most urgent. When the glass pane of your window is broken, or there’s water damage, mold, or condensation, it’s time to get it replaced.

👉Fading furniture and Interiors: If the furniture or decor that is exposed to the sunlight coming through your windows are faded, that means that the windows don’t have UV protection, and should be replaced.

👉No sound-dampening: If you live in a busy place, and your windows don’t reduce the amount of noise coming through, then it’s time to get them replaced.
