Don’t start off the new year on the wrong foot. New Year’s Eve celebrations often involve alcohol use and some people use this night to take it to the extreme. If you plan on indulging, know your limits. Eat a full dinner before consuming alcohol and make sure you drink plenty of water throughout the night. No one wants to be in the ER for alcohol poisoning. And if you are out and about, be careful about injuries. Alcohol makes you less coordinated and affects your balance. And most importantly, never drink and drive. Have a plan to get yourself home by using public transportation, a rideshare or with a sober friend.
