Last Friday, we hosted our very first Spring Luncheon & Panel! ✨

We’re so grateful to our incredible panelists for such an inspiring conversation and for bringing their experiences and perspectives to the table! The discussion reminded us that Community and Food Systems have many faces and thrive through collective effort and collaboration.

A huge thank you to everyone who joined us, and to our partners and friends who continue showing up and contributing to stronger, more connected communities! 💕

Field to Fork was extra special today! We welcomed volunteers from Chicago Cares and the University of Chicago to the farm, and for lunch, we had a special visit from Tiny Spoon Chefs ✨ They provided a cooking demo to complement Chef Omar's lunch, they made an arugula pesto from scratch 🌿 along with Mushroom, Asparagus, and Goat Cheese Phyllo Cups . It was absolutely delicious!

Thank you, Chef Brian, Chef Lia, and Chef Patrick, for coming and bringing those amazing flavors! 💚

Yesterday's Community Dinner was lovely! 🌟 Kids, adults, and grandparents came together to play charades, shared memories about cooking, and enjoyed dinner. 🍲 Our local food system is made up of many elements, and community is, for sure, one of the most important ones. 💫

Our March Community Dinner really felt like spring was here ☀️🌱 We gathered around the table, shared Afro-Colombian dishes, and talked about seeds, how to care for them, what they need, and the stories they carry.

We can’t wait to (hopefully!) open up our outdoor space next time 🌿

Yesterday's community dinner was a great one! 🌟 Chef Dawn made a delightful menu which included meatloaf, mashed potatoes, veggies and chocolate brownies! 🍲

We had a "Mystery Ingredient" 🔍 activity where we talked about how food connects people in unique ways. We reflected on the important role women play in shaping food traditions and memories, and how one single ingredient can carry so many stories across cultures and generations.

Thank you to everyone that came! We'll see you on March 19th! 🗓
