We usually share our shiny, finished solar installations, but the real work happens long before the panels ever hit the roof. Our installation crew is currently on-site prepping a commercial flat roof for a solar project in River Forest, IL. From engineering & design to structural prep, every detail counts in getting a commercial roof ready to power clean energy.

We love a good spooky season setup, and this neighborhood favorite in Rogers Park definitely took Halloween decor to the next level!

But you know what’s actually terrifying? Watching ComEd rates climb 50% over the last couple of years. While the skeletons and ghouls are out here haunting the front lawn, Chicago homeowners can keep the real monsters off their monthly utility bill with a brand-new rooftop solar system!

Yesterday, we celebrated the official blessing of the solar array Windfree installed at the stunning, historic Church of the Atonement () in Chicago's Edgewater neighborhood.

Merging historic architecture with clean, renewable energy is always a rewarding challenge. Seeing this project come to life on a landmark building is a huge milestone for sustainable power in Chicago.

A big thank you to Alderwoman Leni Manaa-Hoppenworth - The 48th Ward for celebrating with us, along with our incredible community partners from the Citizens Utility Board, Faith in Place, and Illinois Solar for All ()!

Projects like this prove that historic preservation and a sustainable future go hand in hand.

Big news for Windfree Solar—and a huge milestone for Illinois clean energy! We're officially adding our largest project to date to our SOQ: a massive 6.1 mW community solar installation in Granite City!

This project represents a major step forward in expanding equitable access to renewable energy across the state. A massive thank you to our partners at Nautilus Solar Energy () for their collaboration in making this utility-scale facility a reality.
