September To Do List; Aerate your lawn.
Fall is one of the best times to aerate your lawn! Core aeration helps reduce soil compaction, improves air and water circulation, and gives your grass a better chance to develop strong roots before winter.
A few quick tips:
• Mow your lawn before aerating
• Aerate when the soil is slightly moist-not soaking wet
• Make multiple passes over heavily compacted areas
• Follow up with seed and fertilizer if needed
