🪨🚶 Navigating water heater warranty claims can feel like a maze, but they’re 𝘢𝘤𝘵𝘶𝘢𝘭𝘭𝘺 not as complicated as you might think!

We’re kicking off our soft launch of Season 4 of WH101: Water Heater 101 with this mini guide to help you navigate the basics of warranty replacement.

Here’s a few more details you should know:

🤝 Think of the manufacturer as your co-pilot. Getting their approval before you do any work is the most critical step to ensuring your claim is valid. Have your water heater’s model and serial number available, then call the manufacturer’s tech support. If your water heater is leaking

🦆 Get Your Ducks in a Row: Save this post and use our checklist! Having the right information ready will make the process a lot smoother. You’ll need things like the full model number, serial number, and proof of purchase.

💸 Warranties aren’t a “free” pass: There are different types of water heater warranties. The tank warranty typically outlasts the labor warranty; the tank warranty is meant to cover the cost of the replacement water heater itself—not necessarily the labor, shipping, or any other materials. While the new unit might be free, may still be some costs involved in the installation.

Hi there, ! 👋 We’re proud to reintroduce our ourselves with our official eBay store video! Not only are we giving you a mini tour of our warehouse (for the first time EVER!), but we also wanted to tell you a bit more about our core business principles + our story that didn’t make the video:

👨‍👩‍👧‍👦 Family Owned + Operated • Our service company USWHPRO was founded in 2018, by father and son, Jim and Jim. Within our first 4 years, the uswhpro family has expanded to 50+ team members, including a few other family duos!

⚙️ Quality Parts • One of the keys to our success as a service company is having our company trucks serve as mini mobile warehouses for genuine manufacturers’ OEM parts. We’ve wanted to make these same parts available to the general public from the very beginning, which is why we are proud to introduce ~ our online water heater parts store!

💻 In Development • Because this project has been ongoing for the last 6 years — we decided to share our parts store journey (and other related announcements) here on our second Instagram. We are currently in the process of customizing our website so that it is easy to use and serves as a tool, which has taken a significant amount of time and planning. While we “get all our ducks in a row” we have made our eBay (uswhpro_dot_com) our main source for online parts purchases!

📦 Swipe to open the box 📦

THESE parts came off a “leaking” water heater from a restaurant that called for emergency service.

They thought their water heater was leaking because they saw water dripping into the top of the unit and completely lost hot water.

The leak wasn’t actually coming from the water heater, but a pipe above. Although we don’t quite know when the leak started, we think it had to be ongoing for some time because of the calcification.

After a mini-rebuild, replacing ALL the parts shown, the unit was back up and running ⚙️✅

Basic Residential Training (feat. Mathew, Regional Service Tech from Ohio)

Our Basic Residential Training Includes:
▫️Standard Atmospheric Water Heater
▫️Power Vent Water Heater
▫️Electric Water Heater
▫️Hybrid Heat Pump Water Heater
▫️Using a Stair Climber

No matter how much experience our team members have, they ALL come to our headquarters in Illinois and begin hands on Basic Residential Training with our Senior Tech in our live fire training center. Although all of our technicians already have water heater and mechanical experience, we want to ensure they are comfortable using the tools of the trade and can confidently diagnose and repair residential (i.e., smaller) water heaters before moving on to tankless and commercial water heaters. After completing one-on-one training and testing, techs go out in the field here in Illinois, under the supervision of an experienced technician.

Our Missouri based tech, Josh, formed a golf team for the 6th annual Life Enrichment Center Golf Outing at the end of May.

The Life Enrichment Center provides an array of educational and social programs to support folks with intellectual disabilities in the greater Perryville County, MO area; proceeds from the golf outing support the LEC’s continued programming.
