August marks an exciting milestone for COBU Architecture Studio - 8 years of COBU!

Since our founding in 2018, we have experienced tremendous growth, both as a firm and as a team. What began with two architects has grown into a team of fifteen talented professionals working together to create thoughtful, award-winning designs.

August marks COBU's 8-year anniversary!

The COBU team and family celebrated this milestone with an afternoon out of the office at Bangs Lake, Wauconda. We all had a great time boating, eating delicious food, spending time together, and playing some competitive volleyball. Our team is our greatest asset, and we are so thankful for everyone's enthusiasm in keeping COBU growing towards the future.

Construction is underway on this stunning Wisconsin home. Lake Geneva serves as the perfect backdrop for this new lake-front residence. The COBU team is on site this week as high ceilings, round stair halls, and steep gables come together for this French Country style design.

Networking on Lake Michigan!

Carissa, Jay, and Jen recently attended the 19th Annual Chicago River & Lake Michigan Post Boat Cruise Fundraiser with Society of American Military Engineers (SAME). The event raised money for Fisher House Foundation to support organizations that benefit veterans. We are so proud to be a sponsor of such an amazing event! Architecture creating community in Jacksonville, FL!

These 2-bedroom and 3-bedroom townhomes form a walkable neighborhood in sunny Florida. Streets and sidewalks within the buildings provide residents with access to a shared pool and cabana, grill stations, and walking trails just steps from their front door. Each 2-story townhome features a 2-car garage and comfortable living spaces.

COBU recently attended the EnergySense Resilience Center Energy Code Training at Moraine Valley Community College, learning about the most recent changes to Energy Conservation Code. Staying informed on the ever-changing International Code Council codes allows us to design safer and more efficient buildings for our clients.
