I am extremely satisfied with the outcome of this project. The shower and whirlpool bath tub are stunning. With features like dual shower heads, body washer, rain showerhead from the ceiling, an L-shaped seat, and a 36” niche, the design is both functional and luxurious. Given the large format 15”x 30” tiles used, ensuring wall flatness was crucial, which necessitated planning for additional studs. The accent tile being thin glass, I opted for metal lathe and cement to address the thickness difference, making this project labor-intensive yet rewarding.

A determined spirit, an elderly customer bravely faced budget constraints that had taken away her freedom to use her tub, but together we crafted a transformative solution; with precision, I removed the tile around the tub and collaborated with a skilled plumber to install a fiberglass pan, and although the discontinued tile presented a challenge, we discovered a beautifully matching alternative that exceeded expectations. Furthermore, grab bars were installed to safeguard her safety, culminating in a delighted customer with a renewed sense of independence and satisfaction.

I am extremely satisfied with the demo and complete rebuild of this failed steam shower! It is crucial not to install a steam unit in a shower that was not designed from the outset for this purpose.
