New fixtures shouldn’t start leaking right after they’re installed.

That’s exactly what this Chico homeowner noticed, so they called Wade from Earl’s Plumbing to take a closer look. What he found might surprise you — the issue wasn’t the fixtures at all.

It was high water pressure.

When water pressure is too high, it puts constant strain on your plumbing system. Over time, that stress can cause faucets, fixtures, pipes, and even appliances to wear out much faster than they should.

The solution was installing a pressure reducing valve (PRV). Wade installed and adjusted the new PRV to bring the home’s water pressure back to a safe, balanced level — helping protect the entire plumbing system moving forward.

Sometimes the real problem isn’t what you see… it’s what’s happening behind the scenes.
