‼️ Wisdom Wednesday ‼️

Geothermal systems might not be something you see every day, but they’re an incredibly efficient way to heat and cool a home by using the relatively stable temperature of the ground instead of relying solely on outdoor air. Today, we were checking the amp draw on the water circulating valve of a geothermal unit. Monitoring amp draw is one way our technicians can make sure components are operating as they should and catch potential problems before they turn into a bigger and more expensive repair.

‼️ Must Know Monday ‼️

Summer brings more than just hot temperatures..it also brings dry dust, dirt, cottonwood, and everything else floating around in the air, and your outdoor A/C coil takes the brunt of it.

And if you live on a gravel road, that dust can make an even bigger impact on your outdoor unit. This photo is from a home we hadn’t serviced in about a year that we visited today. The homeowner mentioned their air had been running almost nonstop..which isn’t necessarily unusual on these hot Missouri days. But when we took a look at the outdoor unit, we could see exactly why it was working so hard.

When that outdoor coil gets packed with dirt and debris, it can’t release heat like it should. That means your system has to work harder, run longer, and can put unnecessary strain on the equipment. Regular maintenance and keeping that outdoor coil clean can make a BIG difference.

If your A/C has been running and running lately, it may be worth taking a closer look at what’s happening outside!

We spent the day out and about doing what we do best..installs, repairs, and maintenance to help get everyone ready for the heat snap that may be headed our way!

And while we were out, we came across this filter and just had to share it. Friendly reminder: your HVAC filter really does matter!

But tonight isn’t just about HVAC..it’s FOOTBALL SEASON! For many of the towns we proudly serve, including right here in Chillicothe, tonight marks the start of Friday night lights. So from our family to yours, GO HORNETS! And good luck to ALL of our area teams!

‼️ Wisdom Wednesday ‼️

Sometimes an HVAC call is about more than just keeping your home comfortable. A customer recently called us because their electric bill was extremely high and just wasn’t adding up. They wanted us to do some investigating..and we’re glad they did.

While checking things over, we found burnt wiring at the electric heat assembly. This is a great reminder that our job goes beyond the basics. We’re not just here to fix what’s obvious..we’re here to investigate, find the why behind the problem, and make sure your system is operating safely and properly.

If something doesn’t seem right with your HVAC system, trust your gut and give us a call. Sometimes the little signs can point to a much bigger problem! We’re happy to help!

For most of our service area, this week marks the start of a new school year! We want to wish all of our students, teachers, staff, and families a safe, happy, and successful school year. Around here, we know it takes a village to keep our communities and our kids going. We’re thankful for all the parents, grandparents, guardians, teachers, and school staff who pour so much into our kids every day.

Every home is different..and sometimes, so is the way we install your new HVAC system!

This new construction home is a perfect example. The homeowner is still working on dirt work, landscaping, and getting everything around the home finished up, so they weren’t quite ready for the outdoor unit to sit on the traditional stand we typically use. Instead, our team utilized a secure wall brace to get the unit installed properly while accommodating the work that’s still happening around the home. That’s what we mean when we say we can accommodate all kinds of situations. We don’t believe in a one size fits all approach. Our goal is to find the right solution for your home, your project, and your needs.

‼️ Must Know Monday ‼️

Today, our team was replacing an outdoor fan motor..so we thought we’d explain why these motors sometimes need to be replaced!

Outdoor fan motors work hard, especially during Missouri summers. Over time, they can wear out from normal use, heat, electrical issues, or simply age. When a motor starts failing, you may notice the outdoor fan running slowly, making unusual noises, shutting off, or not running at all.

A failing fan motor isn’t something you want to ignore. Without proper airflow across the outdoor coil, your AC system can struggle to cool, run inefficiently, and put extra stress on the compressor. Sometimes a repair is as simple as replacing the fan motor and getting that outdoor unit back to doing its job!
