Hey everybody! 😎 I am particularly proud of this piece. I made the pattern and completed the piece, it is roughly 84 pieces. I titled it, “The One” based on Matthew 18:12-14. It was based on a painting I once viewed. I used Hickory, blue pine, canary, WRC, bass wood and a couple of others I can’t remember. I routed the frame from a thin piece I had around the shop. Tried something new for me cutting the frame to fit the horse. I think it turned out okay for a first try. The hardest part is finding the right frame and size for the piece. Have a wonderful Monday 😎😎

Spent much of this week working on this Fret work project. I felt I need to challenge myself and improve my scrolling technique. Now to think about how to mount and frame this beauty. Have a great, try to stay warm, weekend 😎😎😎

On behalf of Jennifer and myself we thank everybody for your support with Doc’s Customer Creativity and Sew Cool Quilts. We love being creative and have been blessed with making many things for a lot of folks. We have made new friends in the process rekindled old friendships and look forward to new and exciting adventures. I had tremendous joy over the last few weeks creating this Pyrography piece for my lovely bride as we celebrate 23 years today. This piece reminds us since the beginning we have been in our Creators hands. As the sands moves from top to bottom we may have grown a bit weary, but still have sand left in the glass. Hey everyone, I want to wish all of you a peaceful and joyous holiday season. Remember that it is not about the gifts, get-togethers and red suit guy. The purpose was a baby born to save mankind and restore a relationship with the Lord Almighty. Enjoy the other stuff but establish your relationship with the baby born for mankind. One of the great things I get to do is to make presents for my loved ones (they are probably sick of all the wood lol!) but I get to dwell on them as I am creating. And I can smile. Almost finished with this fella. I have about 15 hours on him. This has been a fun Pyrography project. Working on shading and feathers. Still so much to learn 😎😎😎. Have a wonderful weekend 😎😎

For those wanting to get out some this weekend…Autumn Jubilee is this weekend Oct. 4-5 from 10:00-5:00 at Dan Nicholas Park. Looks to be a great weather. Doc’s Custom Creativity along with Jennifer’s Sew Cool quilts and purses will be set up by the Gold Mine come on by and say hello! We have finished a lot of new pieces to show off along with some Pyrography (wood burning). Have a fantastic day!!!
