Position Summary:
Opportunity to advance your skills in the electrical trade with installations that meet or exceed your current skill levels. Prior experience is required in the construction/ electrical industry
Duties: Assisting other junior and/or senior employees in tool and material handling, installations of all kinds from underground to finish, using hand and power tools, jobsite cleanup and inventory, and various other tasks essential to the performance of the position. Maintaining your personal and complete hand and battery tools essential to the performance of your duties. Must be able to read simple and complex plans as directed by senior level employees and exercise the ability to learn more complex plan reading and installations. Must communicate with all others competently and effectively. Must be able to make material lists, plan and complete tasks for yourself and for those who take direction from you in a good workmanlike manor and within budget. Be able to work alone and with others either senior or junior your skill level. Must have a good understanding of the N.E.C and high level of installation practices for the electrical trade. May be required to maintain daily reports, safety meetings and jobsite meetings. Must maintain company safety policies and employee PPE requirements daily. The ability to operate company owned or rented large and small equipment like but not limited to dump trucks, skid steers, mini excavators, trenchers, compaction equipment, scissor/ boom lifts, electric/hydraulic benders, threaders, wire pulling equipment, trucks, trailers and or any other equipment essential to the task at hand.
REQUIREMENTS: Minimum 18 yrs. old with good appearance and attitude. Maintain required PPE equipment at all times. Able to communicate effectively with others related to expected duties. Able to bend, stoop, dig, lift 50+ pounds multiple times a day, climb, kneel, balance, push, pull, reach overhead, constantly move about the jobsite on level and uneven surfaces of all kinds. Have reliable transportation, the ability to pass a background check. Drug screening and DMV drivers record (H6) may be required. High school diploma or equivalent. Display the ability to communicate effectively with others about task related duties. Basic knowledge of tools and equipment related to your duties.
Must have all hand and battery tools related to the journeyman wireman position required. Must have a California certified journeyman certification.
