Our objective is to create comprehensive recycling programs for our customers, in order to enhance their businesses and reduce their overall waste stream volume. Our clients span a wide array of market segments such as manufacturing, demolition/construction, utilities, small scrap recyclers and service centers. Please help us welcome, Robert Barnard! Robert has joined our team as a Sales Associate.

Robert is based in Tampa, FL, and outside of work, Robert loves staying active and spending time outdoors—whether it’s camping, hiking, biking, boating, or anything that gets him outside. He is also a big Tampa Bay Lightning fan.

In the month of June, United Scrap Metal is proud to be United in Supporting Wellness. All month long we will be celebrating throughout our community.

In May, each USM location hosted our annual wellness screenings—a huge thank you to our PX and Safety teams for coordinating this important initiative and helping make it such a success year after year.

We are excited to share that our 2026 wellness screening participation goal was 95%, and together we exceeded that goal by achieving an outstanding 98% participation rate! This incredible accomplishment reflects our team's commitment to personal health, safety, and well-being.

We are thrilled to officially introduce Aubrey Thobe, who is joining us as a Sales Associate based out of Cicero!

Aubrey earned her bachelor’s degree from The Ohio State University and relocated to Chicago from Ohio. She started with her first job out of high school on the production line at a turkey factory before college. She gained B2C sales experience during a summer in Alaska, where she had the incredible opportunity to hike onto a glacier and spend the night there. Aubrey also lived in Madrid for a year, where she assisted in teaching English at a bilingual school.

Outside of work, Aubrey enjoys traveling, thrifting, photography, spending time outdoors, attending music festivals, and exploring new coffee shops and cocktail bars.
