Little 2400 sf shop. Built this in East Helena for a customer that bought the spec house from us. Honestly, he became an as***le. Took advantage of us and got way more than he was willing to pay for. Constantly whined about how long it was taking(9 weeks start to finish after concrete pour). 9 weeks to build a fully finished shop is crazy fast especially when we had no time on the schedule.
He didn’t want to pay the final bill of 50,000 dollars. Once I saw he had fully occupied the building before paying for it and informing him it was illegal to do so and the he had to vacate the premises and empty the building so the sheriff could lock it up, he paid.
Why am I telling you this? Because we as builders, we have rights too. Don’t be a jerk and we won’t either.
30 years in business, this is the 2nd time this has happened.
