We had a customer call us because their house was so humid and their AC unit was running non-stop trying to keep the house cool. She called a heat and air company first and they told her "try putting a dehumidifer by the return air vent". After she did that she noticed a difference in her house being able to cool down. She called us to inspect the crawl space. We found high humidity and mold growth under the house. She purchased an encapsulation and dehumidifer system. The project took about 2 days to finish and she has noticed a drastic difference in humidity in the house and how efficient the AC unit can keep the house cool. Remember guys, its much easier for your AC unit to keep your house cool when it stays at 50% humidity rather than 70% or more. Keep your crawl space dry. Wet crawl spaces = wet duct work = humid house.
