A before and after that proves good design changes everything.

This family came to us with a closet that just wasn't working for their daughter. The space had potential, but the layout wasn't making the most of it.

By incorporating adjustable shelving and hanging sections, the closet can easily adapt as her needs change over time. Whether she's adding more dresses now or more jackets, shoes, handbags, and accessories in the years ahead, the layout can be adjusted without starting from scratch.

The best kid's closets aren't designed for a 5-year-old. They're designed to grow with them.

One of our favorite features in this custom closet is the adjustable shelving. As your child grows, the shelves can be moved to fit everything from tiny shoes and books to sports gear and a growing wardrobe, making this a space they'll be able to use for years.

We also added drawers for everyday essentials and transformed this long, narrow closet into functional storage from end to end. Every inch was designed to be usable, making it easy to keep everything organized and simplifying those seasonal clothing swaps.

To put the finishing touch on this space, Next Step Home Organizing worked their magic by organizing every shelf and drawer so this family could start enjoying their new closet from day one. We love collaborating with local businesses that help bring a project full circle.
