From the patented j-shape to chrysalis in 5 minutes. Started with 7, 3 survived, then one withered away. Two remain in enclosure and hopefully survive, mate and keep population going. Why Monarch butterflies are important: Environmental indicators — Monarch populations can reflect the health of ecosystems. Declines in monarch numbers may signal habitat loss, pesticide problems, or climate-related changes.

Flowerbed refresh. Some of the mulch is wet, that’s why it looks two tone. The wet mulch will dry out in 24-48 hours and match uniformly.
