CAP Custom Homes, formerly known as Paul Schermer Construction, specializes in new custom homes and remodeling. CAP, representing each of its partners, Christopher, Alex and Paul, was established in 2016. Though our company has been formed recently, we have over 15 years of building experience. Though Paul passed away unexpectedly with projects unfinished and goals still needing to be met, his son

Chris and son-in-law Alex will still carry on the family business. Paul’s dream was to create a company built upon the Christian values that he instilled into his own family – integrity, responsibility and dependability. Most importantly, Paul enjoyed the building process with homeowners, coming to think of them as extended family! Chris and Alex will operate the business with the same values by continuing to do what they love - spending time with their “new family” and hand crafting their new home! Working with and building great relationships with local contractors, CAP Custom Homes has established a great team to build or remodel the home of your dreams! Whether you’re interested in a new custom home, porch, deck, kitchen or bathroom remodel, CAP will work with you to create exactly what you are envisioning! Dig day is here and we couldn't be more excited!

There's something special about breaking ground on a new home—not just because construction begins, but because a family's vision, dreams, and future start taking shape right before our eyes.

We’re excited to officially welcome Trina to CAP Custom Homes as our new Design Project Coordinator!

Trina brings a strong foundation in both creativity and organization, graduating from University of Wisconsin–Stout with a Bachelor’s Degree in Interior Design and a minor in Project Management. Her unique combination of design expertise and project coordination makes her a perfect fit for our design-build process.

In her role, Trina will be working closely with our clients, project managers, and trade partners to help bring each vision to life—from initial concepts and selections to final ex*****on.
We’re excited to have her on board and look forward to the impact she’ll make on our team and our projects.

Rift red oak with a custom shade stain with beautiful soft closed doors and drawers and white melamine drawer boxes
Custom crown mold with 30° beveled drawer fronts
Paneled ends and beautiful brushed gold k***s and handles. With a touch of brushed nickel and matte black handles for something a bit more bold. 🖤

Install went great and the beautiful sunlight off the lake brings so much character to these cabinets.

Bold yet timeless. Soft and inviting.
