Before a drawing goes out the door, good CAD managers aren't just checking the geometry. They're asking a few quiet questions first.
Is everyone working from the latest version?
Or does someone still have "final_v2_reallyfinal" open?
If this file moved tomorrow, what would break?
References, linked data, external files—how much of it would still work?
How much of your project information still depends on manual updates?
If a client opened this drawing today, what would they notice first?
(It probably isn't the thing you spent the most time on.)
None of these questions are really about the drawing.
They're about whether the information behind it can be trusted.
Which of these questions comes up most often on your projects?
