🚧 Custom Home Build Update! 🏠

This house is really starting to make a statement!

Since our last update, we’ve made some major progress on the framing. The first-floor walls are up, second-floor floor trusses are in, second-floor walls are framed, and the staircases to both the basement and second floor are taking shape. We’ve also got the porch posts and beams in place and have officially started setting roof trusses.

One thing that really stands out from the drone is just how massive this house is becoming. With the steep roof design, it’s gaining a ton of height and looks even more impressive from above. 📸

We’re just getting started on the roof trusses, with the smaller ones going up now. Friday is a big day as we bring in the crane to set the main trusses and start putting the roof structure together.

From there, we’ll be finishing up the remaining roof framing, sheathing, porch roof framing, blocking, fascia, and all the other details needed to wrap up the framing package.

If everything stays on schedule, we should have this house fully framed by the end of next week! 🔨

It’s been awesome watching this one go from a foundation to a house that’s really starting to show its size and character.

🏡 Our other custom home is one step closer to becoming reality!

We’ve made tremendous progress on this project over the past couple of weeks, and it’s exciting to see everything coming together.

Here’s what’s been completed:
âś… Footers extended
âś… Block foundation laid
âś… Block cores filled
âś… Foundation waterproofed
âś… Footer and gutter drains installed
âś… Porches filled with gravel
âś… Garage slab poured

With the foundation phase complete, this home is now ready for framing—the stage where the vision really starts to come to life.

This custom home will feature 2,300 square feet, 4 bedrooms, 2.5 bathrooms, a breathtaking 16-foot vaulted great room, covered front and back porches, and a sleek all-black exterior. It’s going to be a beautiful home, and we’re looking forward to sharing each step of the journey.

🏠Update on one our Custom Homes!!

Over the past week we’ve knocked out some major milestones on this beautiful custom home. First-floor trusses and subfloor are installed, the first-floor walls are going up, and both the front and back porch concrete have been poured.

This home is going to be something special with 10-foot first-floor walls, a stunning 19-foot ceiling in the great room, 13-foot ceilings in the garage, and large front and back porches that will make for incredible outdoor living spaces.

Next up, we’ll be wrapping up all of the framing and watching this home really start to take shape. It’s always exciting to see a set of plans become reality.

Another custom home is officially underway! 🏡

We’re excited to announce yet another custom home project that New Look Contracting is proud to be building!

This beautiful 2,300 sq. ft. two-story home will feature:
✔️ 4 Bedrooms
✔️ 2.5 Bathrooms
✔️ A stunning 16’ vaulted great room
✔️ Open-concept living
✔️ Large primary suite
✔️ Attached 2-car garage
✔️ Covered front and back porches
✔️ A bold all-black exterior that is going to look incredible

This project came to us after the homeowners made the decision to move in a different direction with their builder. At that point, only a portion of the footers had been completed. Since taking over, our team has excavated and poured the remaining footers, and our masonry crew is just days away from completing the block foundation.

Next up, we’ll be waterproofing the foundation, installing the footer and gutter drain systems, preparing the garage for its concrete slab, and then it’s time to start bringing this home to life.

We’re incredibly grateful for the trust our clients continue to place in us. Every project is another opportunity to showcase the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail that New Look Contracting is built on.

Another major milestone reached on this incredible custom home! 🏡

Over the past few weeks we’ve made tremendous progress, and it’s exciting to watch this home take shape.

âś… Backfilled and ready for the next phase

Today, the first loads of framing materials started arriving, with the remaining deliveries coming throughout the week. Next up… framing officially begins! 🔨

This home is going to be something special. With 5 bedrooms, 3.5 bathrooms, 10-foot first-floor walls, and a breathtaking 21-foot-tall living room, it’s being built to make a statement while giving this family an incredible place to call home.

🚧 Project Update – Custom Home Progress 🚧

Despite several rain delays and waiting on our sub-contractors to wrap up other projects, we’re continuing to make steady progress on this nearly 6,000 sq. ft. custom home.

Since our last update, we’ve completed the foundation reinforcement work, poured the footers, graded the basement, installed the gravel base, and ran the water line from the meter to the home. We’re now setting forms and preparing for the poured foundation walls.

This beautiful home will feature 5 bedrooms, a 2-car garage, and tall ceilings throughout. Every step of the process is being completed with long-term quality and durability in mind because a great home starts with a solid foundation.

Next up: finishing the wall forms, pouring the foundation walls, waterproofing, and backfilling so we can continue moving this project forward.

We appreciate our clients’ patience throughout the challenges that come with building, and we’re excited to see this home continue taking shape.

Progress update on this custom home build.

Shortly after completing excavation, we began probing and testing the soil conditions around the foundation area and discovered issues with soil quality and compaction that needed to be addressed before moving forward. Instead of pushing ahead and hoping for the best, we brought in a soil engineer to properly test and evaluate everything.

The results showed that the correct solution was installing helical piles to ensure this home has a rock-solid foundation for generations to come. We started installing them yesterday and should finish up today. In total, we are installing 68 helical piles driven approximately 21 feet deep each to reach stable load-bearing ground.

Yes, this delayed us both financially and timeline. But this is exactly why choosing the right builder matters. When unexpected challenges come up, you either cut corners… or you do things the right way no matter what it takes.

Next week we’ll finally be moving into footers and poured walls and getting this project back on track.

Excavation for this new build is just about wrapped up — basement cut is in, dirt is stockpiled, temporary drainage pipes are installed to keep things dry, and footers are nearly fully dug. We’ll be finishing those up tomorrow.

Next up: forming and pouring footers, then moving right into the poured foundation.
