Let’s Talk Flower Care 💐
After you receive your bouquet, you can help maximize its vase life by following these simple care tips!
1. Start with a clean vase
Remove the kraft paper and place your flowers in a clean vase filled halfway with fresh, cool water. Be sure to change the water every 2–3 days—fresh-cut flowers drink A LOT of water!
2. Give the stems a fresh cut
After a few days, trim about 1 inch from the bottom of the stems using sharp shears or a knife. A fresh cut helps your flowers continue to drink up that fresh water.
3. Keep leaves out of the water
Remove any leaves that fall below the waterline. This helps keep the water clean and fresh.
4. Remove flowers as they fade
Some flowers naturally have a longer vase life than others. As individual flowers begin to wilt, simply pluck them out rather than tossing the entire bouquet! Removing them helps the rest of your arrangement continue to look fresh.
5. Find the right spot
Keep your bouquet away from direct sunlight, heat sources, and ripening fruit. Ripening fruit releases ethylene gas, which can cause flowers to age and fade more quickly.
How long will they last?
Our flowers have an average vase life of 5–7 days, although this can vary depending on the types of flowers in your bouquet and how well they are cared for. With a little love and fresh water, you can enjoy your blooms for as long as possible 💐
