If you want a 'goof proof' container plant that trails , will take shade /partial sun, and most times will come back for at least two or three years (or longer).... Lysimachia nummularia is one of the best. Better known as Creeping Jenny or Moneywort. It actually will take quite a bit of sun.... the color will be a little less intense and may require more watering. Lysimachia also makes a great ground cover as the second photo shows. That patch is actually about 10' by 5' and spreading! Beware it can become invasive if left alone for too long. One more great plus, if your four legged family members like to help you 'water' your Moneywort... it doesnt mind. It may protest in the beginning but quickly responds by just growing more fresh 'screaming lime green' leaves!😉😉😉

Thought i would share another recent before and after. the angle of the photo's are not
the same, but you can see the edge of the putting green in the first (before) pic, very far right middle of the photo.. By the way, the crews who have installed my designs over the years deserve most of the😁😁😁😁😁 credit. It doesn't matter how good the design is IF the project is not installed properly!
