We originally hoped to share this message with our longtime customers on the Finzel's Heating and Cooling page, but no longer have access to do so. We’d still like to share our story here.
To our loyal Finzel's Heating & Cooling customers, friends, and community: We know many of you are still following the Finzel’s page, whether you’re unaware of what happened or simply looking for answers. We wanted you to hear directly from us about what happened and where we’ve gone from here.
Over the past several months, we've heard from countless confused customers asking what happened to Finzel's Heating and Cooling. A few years ago, the owner of Finzel's Heating and Cooling made the difficult decision to sell the business to Home Service Partners, a private equity company. Like many family-owned businesses, we all believed the company would continue serving customers and caring for employees for years to come.
Unfortunately, that isn't what happened. Under new ownership, the company changed dramatically. On the morning of March 9th of this year, we came to work expecting another normal day, ready to serve our customers. Instead, we opened our emails to learn that Home Service Partners had made the unexpected decision to permanently close Finzel's Heating and Cooling, effective immediately. A company that had served this community for decades came to an abrupt end, not because we chose to close our doors, but because that decision was made under new ownership.
While we couldn’t change what happened, we could decide what came next. That’s why longtime members of the Finzel’s team and a member of the Finzel family came together to build a new, separate company, S. Finzel Mechanical. The people who answered your calls, scheduled your appointments, and serviced your homes for years are proud to continue serving the community through this new company. Our commitment to honest service, quality workmanship, and treating our customers like family hasn’t changed.
If you are trying to reach us, please don’t use the former Finzel’s Heating and Cooling phone number. That number currently forwards to another HVAC company based in Redford that is not affiliated with the Finzel team.
While one chapter has come to an unexpected end, another has just begun. To everyone who’s supported Finzel’s Heating and Cooling over the years, thank you. We look forward to serving our community for many years to come.
