🚨 Looking for some opinions and advice! 🚨
This is the driveway alongside my house, and over the years, one of the smaller concrete slabs has settled quite a bit. I’m getting ready to remove the damaged concrete, add the necessary fill, and redo the slab properly.
The main reason I’ve kept pushing this project up my to-do list is the amount of standing water I get in this area whenever it rains. Unfortunately, the drainage also leads toward my crawlspace, which is the area shown toward the end of the video.
In the past, we’ve cleaned out the crawlspace, installed a v***r barrier, and added sand over the top. I’m now considering adding a sump pump closer to the center of the house after the concrete repairs are completed to help keep the crawlspace dry and better manage any water that may make its way underneath.
This isn’t really my area of expertise, so I’d genuinely appreciate any advice, suggestions, or things you think I should consider before I tackle this project.
Would you add a sump pump? Would you approach the drainage differently? Any recommendations on how to properly address the water before redoing the concrete?
