Excited to start working with CCA on this project!
Clinton Christian Academy Awards $3.6 Million Capital Improvement Project
Clinton Christian Academy is excited to announce a historic milestone in the future of our school. During a special meeting on Saturday, July 18, the Board of Directors officially awarded the Academy's capital improvement project to Klassen Construction Company in the amount of $3.6 million. Klassen Construction is well known throughout west-central Missouri for delivering quality commercial and institutional projects, including the Autism and Neurodevelopmental Center and the Share and Care project adjacent to the Benson Center in Clinton. The company has also completed notable educational projects such as the Sedalia School District Central Office and the Skyline Schools FEMA Shelter, earning a reputation for excellence, reliability, and strong community partnerships.
This transformational project reflects our commitment to providing exceptional Christ-centered education in facilities that will serve our students, families, and community for generations to come.
Construction will begin immediately on the new additions, with the remodeling of the existing facility scheduled for completion by September 1, 2027.
When completed, this first phase will provide:
● A beautiful new cafeteria and commercial kitchen where students can gather in fellowship.
● A new science laboratory and two basement classrooms, creating expanded opportunities for hands-on learning.
● A secure new main entrance to better serve and protect our students and staff.
● New office space for our central office and upper school administration, including the principal, counselor, and athletic director.
● A new library/media center designed to support learning and discovery.
● Conversion of the current cafeteria into three additional classrooms and a teacher restroom, allowing us to better utilize every square foot of our existing building.
“This exciting project represents years of prayer, planning, and faithful generosity from families, churches, businesses, alumni and friends who believe in the mission of Clinton Christian Academy,” said Elroy Schumacher, CCA Board President. “We are deeply grateful to everyone who has already made a financial commitment to help make this vision a reality. We are grateful for God’s provision and excited to create spaces that will serve students for generations to come.”
While this is a tremendous achievement, our work is not yet finished. While this milestone is cause for celebration, the Academy's capital campaign is entering its final stretch. Current pledges place the school within $350,000 of fully funding Phase I of the project. Reaching that goal will unlock an additional $500,000 gift from an anonymous donor, accelerating progress toward the Academy's long-term vision.
The next phase of the project includes construction of a gymnasium addition featuring locker rooms, weight rooms, and two additional classrooms. Following the release of the challenge gift, approximately $120,000 would remain to fully fund that expansion.
The final “Faith to the $350,000 Finish Challenge" represents an opportunity for the entire community to help shape the future of Clinton Christian Academy. Every pledge and gift brings the school closer to unlocking the $500,000 commitment and completing facilities that will impact students academically, spiritually, and socially for years to come.
The planned east addition to the main building, which includes a new set of group restrooms and an additional classroom, was bid as an alternate and will be completed at a later date.
This is an exciting time in the history of Clinton Christian Academy. Together, we have already witnessed God's provision in remarkable ways, and we believe He will continue to provide as our school family and community unite around this vision.
If you have already made a pledge, thank you for investing in the future of Clinton Christian Academy. Your generosity is making a lasting difference in the lives of our students.
If you have not yet had the opportunity to participate, we encourage you to prayerfully consider making a pledge as soon as possible. Every gift brings us closer to meeting the $350,000 challenge, unlocking the generous $500,000 matching commitment, and continuing the momentum toward completing this transformational project.
Together, we are building more than classrooms—we are building a place where students will continue to grow academically, spiritually, and socially for many years to come.
