Ow that the insane winter NJ just experienced is behind us I finally was able to try the flexio 3550 and i didn’t think I can love it more than I already loved my Wagner flexio 5000 but boy was I proven wrong.

Set up was so easy which was perfect for my defiant non instructions reading self. And I was able to use it straight of the box. Doing multiple coats on pieces just got a lot easier!

I also think this color 🤌🏼 really new what they were doing when they made this Prussian Blue shade, the way it changes colors when different lights hit it makes your pieces transform into the real gem in any room.

Can’t wait to do more projects with the flexio 3550!diy

Summer is finally upon us!
Which means more furniture (hopefully) and we are starting strong with these nightstands I got off the curb! After sanding it down and cleaning it I used spackle and a stencil to make the texture in the drawer fronts. Lining it up can be tricky but we’re not aiming directly perfection. I then made this custom green with my left over paint pile that I knew wouldn’t be enough to complete one piece! (If you do this, I recommend only mixing the same brand paint) and came up with this gorgeous shade of green.

I am actually so excited for this piece. It’s amazing how much you can really change a piece and thinking outside the box and using unexpected materials and these nightstands were the perfect blank canvas!

Perfect summer break activity alert!

If you’re raising avid crafters like we are this is the perfect screen free activity for you!

This was so much fun for the kids to do and honestly so much fun for me too! It definitely takes overnight prep but it’s so worth it because they come out so cute! The paint are very washable and I just used baby wipes to clean up the mess.

20 drawers has got to be a record for me.
Although it was small drawers, still really annoying to sand. At some point the vibration of the sander took out feeling from my finger tips lol

I changed around the trim, the legs and kept the OG hardware to keep it rustic.
Stain color is American Oak.

I love a lot about this biz but my most favorite part is creating. For the most part, all of the pieces I make are pieces I would totally put in my own home. After being on social media for a little bit more time, I sometimes get people that may not agree with my creative decisions but I think that’s what makes the world beautiful (as long as it’s respectful 😉)
Hoping the new year brings me more creative juices and learn more techniques and the perfect buyer for these pieces that would appreciate it like I do.

The more I do this series, the more you’ll realize that I basically craft all over my house lol

Now that spring is upon us, so are flowers and pollen allergies 🤧
Nothing makes that better more than a cute little champagne bottle to get us through the weird weather transition and drowning ourselves in Zyrtec.
This craft was such a fun one and needed zero experience and literally anyone can do it! As I am a crafty mama I did already have all of the things but if you were to buy it I think everything would cost about $5.

It’s the perfect way to add something to a simple gift.

I have been feeling pretty inspired this holiday szn and I really wanted to try the woven leather look and I knew that these outdated shutters was the perfect piece to try it on.
I painted the piece jet black and cut a roll of leather into strips for the woven leather door. It is available in a precut strip but I found that it was cheaper to cut yourself.
It’s a perfect size for a record player and records!

Last year, I invested in brushes and it makes such a big difference but I’m still not the best at cleaning them after every project. This year, I want to be better at taking care of my brushes and this is how I do them. (Even the crusty ones!)
1. Rinse and use a makeup brush cleaning pad to remove as much paint as you can.
2. Soak in brush cleaner, overnight or depends on how hard the paint has gotten maybe longer.
3. Use a metal brush to brush out the rest of the paint and brush cleaner under warm water. If still hard, repeat step 2 & 3. I usually use the wide tooth part first then the finer tooth side.
4. Squeeze out excess water
5. Let dry!
Let’s see how well I do with this resolution.
