We are currently hiring for our mass earthwork division! This division is solely responsible for taking earth and shaping projects with dozers, excavators, and scrapers. Projects ranging from 1,000 to 100,000+ cubic yards of earth to move, we are looking for the right people to help build these projects. Our scope ranges from small commercial to large residential subdivision development. Our main focus? Quality, production, and safety.

The current roles we are looking for are:
- Dirt Foreman (Mass earthwork)
- Dirt Foreman (Fine Grading)
- Finish Grade Motor Grader & Dozer Operators (GPS & Free Hand, +/-0.04' or tighter)
- Production Excavator Operators
- Scraper Operators (Tracked Pull Pans)

All roles come with competitive wages and full benefit package. This is a LONG TERM/PERMANENT role, we are not looking for temp help. We want people who want to call Gillett Excavating a home and become a critical part of the companys growth. The ideal candidate matches our core values of Humility, Integrity, Quality and Communication, and can show up and perform at a high level every day.

Work is based around South East Michigan (Macomb County and Surrounding Areas)

We gotta hand it to our team.

Its brutal out in the field right now.

Single digit lows, random 35-45 degree days causing melt and tracks to get loaded full of nasty wet clay. Material freezing to semi boxes and trucks getting stuck.

Today we were putting pipe in and we got dumped on with 4 inches of snow in less than 2 hours.

They keep showing up, and kicking butt. Brutal conditions and long hours. No complaints, just kicking butt.

We proud to work beside these guys, and proud to call them a part of the Gillett Team.
