Cut-O-the Week 12/11/23

Got this one done just before the weather changed. 12 inch pipe gate arch with custom gates. Even a rare sighting of me in the pics. My photographer (Caroline) said I needed to be in the pics for perspective to show the height of 16 feet. Thanks to MSH Corp for the project.

My Father was born 100 years ago today! One Century ago! It's hard to believe. I celebrated by making a stand for his Anvil. I tried to capture him as I remembered, the low crown hat, rolled up sleeves, knee length farrier chaps and of course the cuffed 501 jeans. Happy 100 Lyle Willoughby. Sorry about pictures I think this phone/camera has been dropped too many times.

Thinking about Pioneer Day plans? Consider a trip to Echo Canyon's bronze ox, a life-size statue commemorating the migration of immigrants through Summit County. The ox is located on the hill south of the existing overlook at the Echo Information Center in Echo Canyon. The ox helps to promote tourism in Summit County while promoting and educating people about the history of the canyon.

CUT-O-THE WEEK 10/16/17

I got an order for one of our steel trees this past week, This beauty is 6 feet tall by 5 foot wide cut from 3/16" mild steel. They wanted their family name cut out on the trunk, but I wanted to make it look like it was carved into the tree instead so I came up with this. Customer was very happy with this look which made it all worth while. Also they wasn't sure what finish to go with and wanted some time to decide so I put 2 layers of clear coat to keep a nice clean ready to paint surface. Thanks to Jeff Orgill for the project
