Ground has officially been broken at the Wyoming Downs Casino Border Site just south of Cheyenne. The groundbreaking ceremony was held on June 2nd, marking the start of a project that will bring a new nearly 60,000 square foot casino facility to the area.

We're excited to get this one underway and proud to have Eric Givan, Rob Schatz, and Andy Morales leading the Groathouse team. We look forward to sharing progress as this project begins to take shape.

Coming to you with an update from Wyoming Girls School Stolt Hall in Sheridan, where there is sure to be a lot of activity this summer! Inside, drywall finishes are nearing completion, with painting, ceiling grid, and casework close behind. On the exterior, brick veneer and metal panel installation continue to make steady progress. Site work is also underway, with concrete paving, curb, and gutter installation now in progress.

From interior finishes to exterior improvements, nearly every area of the project is advancing at once. The building is changing quickly, and the progress is becoming more noticeable with each passing week.

Not every project meeting happens at ground level. After the forms were stripped from the elevator shaft, Superintendent Troy Kelly gave Jeremy Gibson, CEO of Trona Valley Federal Credit Union in Rock Springs, and Deli Ranieri, Chief Retail Officer, a lift to get a firsthand look at the progress from above.

The view was worth the ride! It's not every day you get to see a project from this angle. With the elevator shaft forms removed and progress continuing across the site, there was plenty to take in from the top of the boom lift.

A couple weeks ago we updated you on the Homewood Suites by HIilton in Casper, but we are also getting closer to Check-In Time at the one in Douglas! Interior finishes are now going in on the 4th floor and will continue moving into the 3rd floor next, while exterior finishes continue to tighten up the outside of the building. Landscaping is also nearing completion, giving the site a more finished look each week.

The last major piece ahead is parking lot paving, expected in the coming weeks as crews continue pushing toward an early August completion.

With both the Douglas and Casper Homewood Suites by Hilton projects moving through their final stages, it’s exciting to see two major hospitality projects coming together at the same time.
