What’s a “complex” septic system? 🤔

When a property’s soil, slope or site conditions won’t work with a standard system, it takes a specialized design and a lot more know-how to get it right. That’s a complex system, and not every excavator is licensed to install one.

All West is licensed for both basic and complex septic, from permitting through installation. When it’s done, all you see is a clean, graded field. Everything that matters is underground, done right.

Every great build starts with what you don’t see.

Before the walls go up, the ground has to be right: cleared, leveled, graded and compacted so your foundation sits on solid footing for decades, not just until the first hard winter.

That’s what site prep is all about, and it’s one of the most important steps in the whole build. Get it wrong, and you’ll be dealing with cracks, settling and drainage problems for years. Get it right, and you never have to think about it again.

“How much does it cost?” is the #1 question we get, and it’s a fair one! Here’s why we don’t post prices:

Every property is different. Rock, slope, soil, access, tree cover, how far from the road... all of it changes the job. Take this hillside: steep, overgrown and full of rock. A price we post online would either be a guess or a number that doesn’t fit YOUR land.

So John comes out, looks at your property in person, and gives you an honest quote. No surprises halfway through, no “well, that’ll be extra.”

From “uh oh” to “oh WOW.”

This lakefront slope needed a wall that could hold a steep hillside, so we built one, rock by rock.

A good retaining wall isn’t just pretty (though we think this one is pretty great). It holds back the hillside, stops erosion, and keeps your yard where it belongs through every North Idaho winter.
