Weeding isn't glamorous and it can be a pain (physcially and emotionally). You have to keep coming back out and not every w**d comes out like it supposed too 😉

But thats ok...because when you step back, from anything in life, and take a look at the progression or what you can accomplish is what brings about fullfillment, reflection, and happiness to this thing we call "work" or life even.

And all those days of sweating under the hot sun, bugs crawling on you, debris blowing into your face, dirt everywhere, and all the other immediate not so fun stuff pay off. May not be perfect but nothing ever will be.

We are thankful for the opportunity to work in nature and provide cleaner spaces for our customers to enjoy. 🌄

Landscaping is hard work...but its a labor of love. When we step back from the hustle and bustle and look at what that work accomplished, its makes it all worth it.

Mow season has begun, and we’re enjoying all this rain we’ve been given. Last year was pretty dry, and many lawns had a hard time catching up. Not this year... lawns are looking good 😎

Good reminder that everything needs adequate water and care. 🌿

Established lawns should receive about 1 to 1½ inches of water per week, including rainfall. A good target is ½ inch per watering, about twice per week, depending on conditions.

Best watering time: before 10am to reduce evaporation and help prevent disease. The goal is to water deeply enough to reach the roots.

Keep in mind slopes, soil type, shade, and other factors that affect how water moves into the soil. If you see runoff, you’re watering faster than the lawn can absorb it.

If you’re on city water, be sure to check your local backflow testing deadlines for the season. Coeur d'Alene is due by July 1, 2026. 💧

Spring cleanups in full force 🌿 The crew was out rain or shine. Lately a little more rain than shine but we are NOT complaining because those plants need it. 😊
We could do without the wind on those leaf cleanup days. 😉

What do we do during cleanups?

Spring Cleanups can include all or ala cart-
Leaf / needle pickup and disposal
Aerates/Dethatch
Fertilizers Garden and Lawn
Minor healthy pruning
Deadheading/Cutbacks such as ornamental grass
Weeding
First time mow and edging
Spring planting
Topdress/Overseed
Sprinkler testing
First story gutter clean out
Pressure washing driveways/vinyl fencing
Bark/mulch replenishment
Dormant oil

Well... that came out of nowhere 😆 Who had 6inches of snow for this week on their bingo card? 😳 🤣

The mow fleet was stacked and ready to go, but with the snow, everything had to be offloaded and now they're just waiting.

If you see Kevin out there running around plowing, honk and wave hello, im sure he'd appreciate the encouragement. ❄️

High winds will impact Eastern Washington Wednesday evening through Thursday morning. Be prepared for challenging travel conditions, especially for high profile vehicles, power outages, and tree damage. Patchy blowing dust with localized visibilities down to a quarter mile or less is possible. Please take precautions when driving tomorrow night.

Little journey to Ellensburgh Wa this weekend to upgrade the landscape maintenance trailer. Went from a 12ft trailer system to a 16ft trailer system! Woop woop!

This allows us to haul more equipment in one swoop, cutting down on loading/unloading time, and no more musical mowers with the length and side ramp system. This is a huge improvement over last year and were thrilled.

Excited to use this equipment this season! Thank you

Sometimes plants just need a good haircut, even when it’s starting to get a tad warm for pruning and its a little more than 30%, but….

These shrubs were overdue, so a full rejuvenation prune was the right move to clean them up and set them up for healthy spring growth. I'll be back next fall/winter to do a little more. ✂️🌿

And honestly, these overhaul pruning projects are one of my favorite types of work.
