Every line deliberate and built by hand.

Outside, vertical wood siding reaches for the sky from a concrete base and under a standing seam roof, with a steel-clad portal framing the lakeside entry. Inside, the curved wood cabinetry, waterfall stone counters, and integrated pulls show the kind of detail that only works when every joint is precise.

Thank you to Brian J Mac Architect Birdseye and Brooke Michelsen Design and for a vision rooted in its setting. It was a privilege to build.

A house for every season, but Fall is looking real good on her.

🍁🌲 This contemporary home in the Mad River Valley boasts views of Vermont’s Green (and orange, yellow, and eventually white) Mountains while tucking into the landscape nicely.

In Vermont, spring has another name: mud season. And there’s no better time to talk about the room that makes it all manageable.

At Red House Building, we work alongside talented designers to bring beautiful spaces to life. What we bring to the table is craftsmanship, solid construction, and the kind of quality that holds up to decades of boots, backpacks, and everything a Vermont life throws at it.

Because a mudroom that’s built right makes the seasons a little easier to love. 🥾

This is what happens when thoughtful design meets people who care deeply about the craft.

✴︎ This walnut scalloped vanity was built in our Vermont shop, and installed in a beautiful new home in Charlotte, VT. Every flute was carefully milled, every drawer fitted by hand — the kind of detail that turns a bathroom into something you actually want to spend time in.

✴︎ The richness of the walnut grain against white marble and brushed brass is exactly the kind of material harmony we live for. No shortcuts. No compromises. Just work we’re proud to put our name on.
