Ever seen a ceiling fan lose its posture?

Humidity and moisture in screened porches or breezeways can turn standard indoor blades into sad, droopy noodles real fast. Watch us swap out this warped fan for a brand new one! One of many things we tackled when out in the beautiful city of Frankenmuth.

Happy Friday!

We genuinely try and brighten the day of everyone we come across. Not just by doing the best job we can, or making sure everything is safe and up to code. But by truly showing our customers and the people we interact with our positive attitude and that we care.

We love getting messages like this and we should probably start sharing them more.

A basement shouldn't feel like a dungeon. With a smart lighting upgrade, we can transform dim, neglected space into a bright, safe, and functional room you actually want to spend time in. Another one done!

We're back at these receptacles to show you how loose wiring causes electrical fires.

This is exactly why we don't use the stab-in holes on the back of outlets, they often loosen up over time. Instead, we safely connect the wires together into 'pigtails' and then tightly screw every wire into the termination point so the connections stay solid and safe.

We tackled a couple outlets with reverse polarity (hot and neutral wires swapped) to make this home safe again!

When an outlet is wired in reverse polarity, the device you plug in stays energized even when turned off, creating a major shock hazard and putting electronics at risk.

"Why are you installing a 100-amp panel?"

We get asked this all the time! It just comes down to insurance and budget.

When doing restoration work, homeowners and adjusters have to make tough choices to get the house livable again. With the price of materials and labor being what it is today, every dollar counts. We are fine with 100-amp service as long as it's safe, code-compliant, and works for the customer.

When a breaker trips on a QO panel, a high-visibility red window instantly flags the switch. That makes it easy to identify the circuit, even in a dark room. It's also more narrow than a standard cabinet and offers a cleaner panel layout. Do you think they are worth the upgrade?

Many older homes are still running on outdated electrical panels like Wadsworth, Federal Pacific, Zinsco, or old fuse boxes that were never designed to handle today's power demands. From flickering lights to serious fire risks, knowing the warning signs can save you thousands in repairs, or worse.

If you aren't sure about the state of your electrical system, don't leave it to chance. Contact a licensed electrician to inspect your panel today.

I know its hard to believe but sometimes we make mistakes! That is why our final walkthrough checklist includes double checking everything before we leave. Our goal is always to make sure you're safe and the job is done right.
