Today we are happy to announce that Building, Design and Construction has ranked Thriven Design #69 on its annual list of multifamily architecture firms, placing it in the top third of multifamily firms nationwide.

Thriven Design has been recognized for excellence in multifamily housing since its founding in 1971, garnering more than 4 dozen awards for innovative and insightful design for individuals, families, veterans, seniors, students, and those with supportive needs.

To date, it has contributed more than 60,000 units to communities across the country, and has supported many of its residential projects with planning, MEP/FP engineering, and interior design provided by its own in-house integrated teams.

Currently it has more than 8,000 units in design or construction, and is supporting a half-dozen housing authorities with on-call preservation work, ensuring not only that new housing is added to cities and towns, but also ensuring that existing housing stock remains accessible and available for renters in need.

Thriven Design has been a national leader in the design of affordable, senior, multifamily housing for 55 years, and has completed residential projects in 25 states. Congratulations to Diocesan Housing Services Corporation (DHSC) and project partners on the selection of The Mews at St. Mary as an Excellence in Housing Development Award winner at this year's Governor's Conference. The Excellence in Housing Development Award recognizes an exceptional project that provides high-quality, affordable housing to meet the diverse needs of residents. Thriven Design is honored to have provided architecture, engineering, and interior design for The Mews at St. Mary, a 75-unit residence for older adults constructed on the campus of Our Lady of Peace parish in Williamstown, NJ.

Please join us in congratulating Thriven Design Associate Marissa Berwick, AIA, NCARB, as she celebrates 10 years with Thriven Design. Marissa has had a tremendous impact on our firm since arriving as part of the Drexel 2+4 program. Marissa manages projects and provides mentorship on our multifamily housing team; she leads BIM training, and she has devoted enormous effort to our firm culture committees, chairing multiple committees and advancing licensing and growth opportunities for young architects. In addition, (in her free time!), Marissa is President-elect of AIA West Jersey and is an at-large Trustee for AIA New Jersey.

"Watching Marissa step up as such a strong project architect and manager has been a highlight of the past decade. She represents Thriven at the highest level, working tirelessly with clients and contractors to keep every project moving smoothly through all phases. I can't wait to see her continued growth and look forward to working alongside her for many more years,” said Principal Al Deluca, AIA, LEED AP.
