We are seeking a dedicated and hardworking Laborer/Operator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for performing various tasks related to the operation of machinery and equipment, ensuring that production processes run smoothly and efficiently. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work collaboratively within a team environment.
Responsibilities
• Operate and maintain machinery and equipment in accordance with safety guidelines.
• Be able to maintain a job site.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on equipment to ensure optimal performance.
• Follow standard operating procedures (SOPs) to maintain quality control throughout the production process.
• Collaborate with team members to meet production goals and deadlines.
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, adhering to safety protocols at all times.
• Report any issues or malfunctions to supervisors promptly for resolution.
• Prepares surfaces for asphalt installation, operates equipment, and assists with the installation and repair of asphalt. We may also perform traffic control duties.
• Asphalt paving machine operator. Operates equipment under extreme temperatures and for extended hours. They must be able to adhere to personal protective equipment (PPE) policy.
• Line striper. Paints lines on roadways, parking lots, and other facilities. They may use a truck with striping equipment or a walk-behind striping machine.
• Other asphalt jobs include:
Asphalt worker
Removes old pavement material, prepares surfaces for repair, and spreads, compacts, and smooths hot asphaltic material.
Asphalt screwman
Adjusts the screed height on the paving machine to ensure proper depth, grade, and finish.
Experience
• Previous experience in a labor or operator role is preferred.
• Familiarity with industrial machinery or equipment is required.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot basic issues independently.
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• A commitment to safety practices and procedures in a manufacturing environment.
• Must have asphalt work experience.

Pay: $20.00 - $30.00 per hour
Expected hours: No more than 70 per week
