When they say "sales rep life" they mean it literally.

Trunk full of brochures. Three phones ringing at once. A to-do list that grew legs and refused to die. Two hundred miles to the next client and a soda that gave up somewhere around the Colorado state line.

Installing a macerator under a permit? Certification matters more than price.
For plumbers, remodelers, and contractors, installing a non-certified macerating toilet system is not just an inspection risk, it can become a code violation, liability issue, and even a licensing concern.

Both the IPC and UPC require macerating toilet systems to comply with ASME A112.3.4/CSA B45.9 and be installed according to manufacturer instructions. Products without recognized third-party certification may fail inspection, create insurance complications, and expose contractors to unnecessary risk.
This is especially important because macerators are electrical products used in wet environments. Proper certification helps verify both plumbing performance and electrical safety.
