Please take into consideration that I am a small business owner who handles all the work and management myself. My prices are more then fair and reasonable. I have a family to take care of and relies on me to do so, so with me cutting my prices makes that challenging! Yes, i understand, times are hard.. I completely understand but that doesn't make it fair to small business owners to cut their prices when they are facing the same. If you want professional work done, you unfortunately have to pay those prices!
Here is a rough estimate, for linear feet of baseboard and door trim supplied, installed, caulked, and painted typically runs:
Quality level
Estimated cost
Budget MDF trim
$2,400–$4,200
Mid-range primed wood/MDF
$3,600–$6,600
Higher-end wood trim
$6,000–$12,000+
A common contractor pricing method is:
Baseboard installed: about $3–$8 per linear foot
Painting trim: about $1–$3 per linear foot
Door casing (trim around doors): often $100–$300 per door installed and painted
For 600 linear feet, a realistic mid-range calculation is:
Trim material: $0.75–$3.00/ft = $450–$1,800
Installation labor: $3–$8/ft = $1,800–$4,800
Painting/caulking/fill work: $1–$3/ft = $600–$1,800
Total: approximately $2,850–$8,400, with many homeowners landing around $4,000–$6,500 for a complete professional job.
The cost of a full interior paint job depends mainly on the home's size, ceiling height, wall condition, and whether trim, doors, and ceilings are included.
