Another successful early morning service upgrade in Downtown Colorado Springs!

This morning, our team completed a major electrical service upgrade with minimal disruption to the surrounding businesses. Power was disconnected at 2:45 AM, allowing us to safely complete the new electrical service and have everything restored by 5:00 AM—well before neighboring businesses opened for the day.

A huge shoutout to Spark Electric for coming prepared and executing the work efficiently and professionally. Projects like this are only possible through teamwork, planning, and dedication.

Old Colorado City following a devastating fire caused by a failure within a traditional wood-
burning fireplace. The fire quickly spread into the main structure and attic, resulting in
extensive damage.

This restoration presents two significant challenges: rebuilding the fire-damaged structure
and, perhaps even more critically, performing comprehensive smoke damage mitigation to
preserve the home's integrity and historic character.

Construction is now underway, and our team is committed to returning this remarkable
property to its former beauty with the highest standards of craftsmanship and care. We
anticipate project completion in September 2026 and look forward to sharing progress
throughout the restoration journey.

Blue Ridge Contractors, Inc. partnered with Colorado Building Supply (formerly Foxworth-
Galbraith) on a design-build project to construct a new 200-foot facility purpose-built to
house the state-of-the-art SAWTECH automated cutting system.

Engineered for efficiency and precision, the SAWTECH machine processes full 60-foot
lengths of material and accurately cuts framing components for an entire home in a
fraction of the time required by traditional methods. To accommodate the machine's unique operational requirements and material handling, the building was designed with a completely unobstructed front span, eliminating the need for structural support columns.

The project included substantial structural and infrastructure improvements, including massive 13-foot x 13-foot x 2-foot-deep reinforced concrete pads, 8-inch reinforced concrete slabs, heavy-duty 7/8-inch reinforcing rebar steel, installation of a new fire hydrant to meet Colorado Springs Fire Department requirements, and a new 400-amp
electrical service to support the facility and equipment.

This investment positions Colorado Building Supply to better serve the growing demand for
quality building materials throughout the region while showcasing the power of innovative
design-build construction.

project included extensive interior demolition, new construction, the addition of ADA-
compliant restrooms and classrooms, new breakrooms, and a full interior finish, resulting
